The Siete Misterios Best Cocktail Menu Award is open to all bars across the globe. New for 2021, The World’s 50 Best Bars has created an award which is open to any bar, anywhere in the
world. The SieteMisterios Best CocktailMenu Award will reward innovation, design, drinks craft and idea communication. This new special award comes as The World’s 50 Best Bars announces that it will return
with a live event this year, with the ceremony taking place in London on 7th December 2021.
The SieteMisterios Best CocktailMenu is open to all bars across the globe and involves the submission of a current menu and supporting materials. It will give bars who may not have had the opportunity to
feature on the prestigious list in previous years an opportunity to showcase their innovation, creativity and identity. Each menu will be judged on the following criteria: Design and Layout; Storytelling;
Innovation; Range of Drinks; Sustainability; Communication of the Bar’s Identity.
Entries to the Siete Misterios Best Cocktail Menu are now open and can be submitted via The World’s 50 Best Bars website. The deadline for entry is Wednesday, 1st September, and a shortlist of the top five
entries will be announced on 5th November. The winning bar will be revealed during the ceremony itself on the evening of 7th December at London’s iconic Roundhouse. The brand partner for this award is the
highly regarded Mexican agave spirit, Mezcal Los Siete Misterios.
The World’s 50 Best Bars, sponsored by Perrier, announced earlier this month that the annual list will be unveiled as part of a live awards ceremony for its 2021 edition, after hosting a virtual awards ceremony
in 2020.

About TheWorld’s 50 Best Bars
The World’s 50 Best Bars, owned and organised by William Reed Business Media, provides a definitive list of the world’s best drinking venues, voted for by an Academy of over 600 experts worldwide. The World’s 50 Best Bars list has been published annually since 2009 and has become the most anticipated ranking for drinks professionals and cocktail aficionados across the world, with the awards the highlight of the bar industry calendar. The list of Asia’s 50 Best Bars has been published since 2016. The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list, also organised by William Reed Business Media, has been published since 2002.
How the voting works The list is compiled by votes from TheWorld’s 50 Best Bars Academy, which comprises more than 600 drinks experts with 50/50 gender parity, including renowned bartenders and consultants, drinks writers and cocktail specialists from around the world. The Academy of voters is spread across 28 global geographic regions, each headed by an Academy Chair who selects their region’s voters, with the distribution of voters designed to reflect the relative development of the drinks sector, and the concentration of quality bars, in each region. Each voter casts seven votes
based on their best bar experiences of the previous 18 months. Voters are required to remain anonymous and voting is confidential, secure and independently adjudicated by Deloitte.
