First, the fill: The "Wayward Expression" is finished on the interior of each bell with a radial satin finish to create nucleation points as the spirit is poured in, a crucial first step to letting a liquor breathe. Each side of the jigger also has a gently interior protruding lip for a fill line. This prevents over pouring your precious spirit and allows you a measuring distinction to accommodate the meniscus curve of higher density spirits.
Second, the pour: Classic jiggers have a thin or rolled edge that follows the contours of the bell. This allows you to pour from any direction, but also causes side drips, and does nothing to enhance the aeration. The "Wayward Expression" has flared pour guides at the compass points to direct the flow of liquor cleanly over the edge, and allows the spirit to 'spin' on it's way our of the jigger, providing much needed aeration. The flared three-part collar also helps prevent drips, saving every drop of that precious nectar.
Finally, the cleanup: Each bell of the "Wayward Expression" has a flattened interior base to prevent excess pooling of left over liquid.
